What we focus on
Much of my work centers around patterns that feel confusing or exhausting in relationships, including:
Communication breakdowns that escalate quickly
Emotional shutdown, defensiveness, or overwhelm
High-conflict dynamics that leave everyone feeling misunderstood
Trust ruptures, including infidelity
Power imbalances or emotionally harmful relationship patterns
Rather than labeling people, we focus on understanding patterns, such as what triggers them, how they’re maintained, and how to interrupt them with intention and clarity.
What sessions with me are like
Therapy is not about assigning fault or deciding who is “right.” It’s about helping you understand what’s happening internally for you so you have more choice in how you respond.
In our work together, you can expect:
Clear structure and direction
Space to slow things down when emotions run high
Help naming what’s actually happening beneath the conflict
Practical tools you can use outside of session
A steady, grounded presence—even when things feel messy
About Amber Keith, LPC / LCPC
Therapy for relationship stress that feels hard to name and harder to fix.
When conversations repeatedly escalate or shut down, it’s often because the skills being used are focused on self-protection rather than relational repair. Those strategies can be necessary in some contexts and they make sense, but they don’t always support communication, connection, or mutual understanding.
I work with couples and individuals who feel stuck in repeating patterns: the same arguments, the same misunderstandings, the same emotional spirals. My role is to help you slow those moments down, understand what’s actually happening, and learn how to respond differently without blame, judgment, or taking sides.
Depending on your goals, I may integrate tools from DBT, EMDR-informed resourcing, EFT-informed attachment work, and nervous-system regulation strategies. These approaches help us work with emotional intensity, reactivity, and disconnection in a way that is practical and sustainable.
My work focuses on helping people build skills that honor individual boundaries while also allowing relationships to function and grow.
Progress often looks like shorter conflicts, clearer communication, and a growing ability to stay regulated during difficult moments.

About Amber Keith, LPC / LCPC
Therapy for stress in relationship that feels hard to name and harder to fix.
When conversations keep turning into conflict, shutdown, or emotional overload, it’s rarely because something is wrong with you.
Many common coping strategies protect the individual but aren’t designed to support the relationship.
I help couples and individuals build skills that do both, so difficult moments feel steadier, clearer, and more workable.
My approach
Therapy with me is structured, collaborative, and practical.
We slow things down when emotions run high, name patterns without blame, and focus on skills you can use outside of session, not just insight.
I may draw from DBT, EMDR-informed resourcing, EFT-informed attachment work, and nervous-system regulation strategies, depending on your goals.

About me
I’m a licensed professional counselor with a background in psychology and a strong emphasis on evidence-based, relationship-focused care. My work is informed by years of experience supporting clients through complex emotional and relational dynamics, especially when situations feel polarized, intense, or difficult to articulate.
I bring warmth, clarity, and steadiness into the room, while also being transparent and direct when it’s helpful. My goal is not to “fix” you or your relationship, but to help you understand what’s happening well enough to make meaningful, lasting changes.
Personal note
Outside of my clinical work, I value time in nature and the relationships that have shaped who I am. The dog pictured here was with me throughout my training and early years as a therapist, and his presence grounded me during some of the most formative parts of that journey. That sense of steadiness, patience, and care continues to inform how I show up in my work today.

Calm but direct
Supportive without being vague
Structured without being rigid
Focused on forward movement, not just processing
I’m a good fit if…
You feel stuck in the same arguments or emotional loops
One or both of you struggles with emotional reactivity or shutdown
There has been a breach of trust and you want a structured path forward
You want therapy that is warm, but also honest and skill-based
You’re ready to look at patterns—not just symptoms
I may not be the best fit if you’re looking for a therapist to take sides or mediate ongoing deception without accountability.
